Newly appointed Super Eagles' goalkeepers' trainer, Aloy Agu, has pledged to serve his fatherland till the end of time. The former Enyimba goalkeepers' trainer said he was ready to lay down his life to make Nigerian football great again.
Agu, who went through horrible experience as Eagles' former goalkeeper when he lost one of his teeth during a match, said he was ready to make good impact with his new appointment.

The former goalkeepers' trainer of Nasarawa United, said he has been looking forward to the day he would become useful in the national team, stressing that his appointment was a fulfilled dream.

Speaking to Daily Sunsport after his appointment as Super Eagles' goalkeeper trainer, Agu said: "I feel so great. It's only a foolish man that will reject an offer like this one. It's a great honour done to me.
"When I was a player, I tried my best to engrave Nigeria's name on the map. I did not count what it would cost me, but went ahead to do it because of the love I have for the game.

"I see this appointment as another great opportunity for me to serve my fatherland with my all. If I could lose a tooth for Nigeria, I believe I can still do more. Even as a coach, I'm an apostle of doing whatsoever is worth doing well.

"As a man of God, I see my appointment as a divine call, so I will not joke with it."
According to him: "It's the desire of every coach to handle the national team. So, I'm not going to play with my job, more so, when my appointment is a fulfilled dream. I had for quite a long time desired to get to this position and God in His infinite mercy has decided to bring it to pass this time around.
"It's not going to be an easy task, but the God I serve will not fail us. We have a lot of work to do in the team, but we are relying on God to see us through.

"On my part, while carrying out my duty, I will also impact spiritual knowledge onto the team to ensure they achieve an all-round development,' he concluded.
