yesterday that the two suspects were arrested in the vicinity of the deceased filling station at Alegongo-Akobo area of Ibadan.
The police image-maker stated that the police was intensifying efforts towards apprehending the masked faces behind the gruesome murder of the 64 year-old former permanent secretary.
While saying that investigation was still on-going and that more arrests would still be made soon, Okuwobi hinted that the faces behind the assassination would definitely be unraveled and the unscrupulous elements made to face the full wrath of the law.
Mr. Ademola Oyadeyi was last Friday shot dead at his petrol station by suspected armed robbers around 8:00pm when his manager was giving him the financial account of the day.
Daily Sun learnt that immediately the suspected armed robbers arrived the station, they made their way to the office of the deceased and demanded for money and the deceased gave them the sum of N250,000 before they turned back and shot him in the chest.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Akobo Police Division, Mr. Ganiyu Awodeji, had on Saturday told newsmen in Ibadan that the armed-robbers on their arrival at the filling station overpowered the security men on duty and two of them went to the office of the deceased asking for money.
He maintained that the suspected armed robbers also ransacked the deceased office before he gave them the sum of N250,000, which according to a confirmed report was the total amount made for the day.
Meanwhile, more people are still trooping to the Olubadan Estate extension home of the late Mr.Oyadeyi, where his wife was surrounded by scores of
sympathizers, friends and relatives who expressed shock on the death of the retired permanent secretary.
Late Mr. Ademola-Oyadeyi hailed from Oloya-compound, Elekuro, Ibadan and was born on 10th of March 1944, retired as a Permanent Secretary from the Oyo State
Civil Service in 2006, survived by one wife, six children and an aged mother.
