An appeal has gone to members of the public that can locate the whereabouts of the parents of an abandoned baby, Ajoke Adisa Oyinlola.
In a release issued and signed by the Principal Social Welfare for the Osun State Ministry of Information and Women Affairs, Ede Zone, Mrs. Akinlawon, the child was abandoned inside an uncompleted building at Agbeni area of Ede South local government on January 20, 2005 immediately after birth.
Mrs. Akinlawon therefore implored any member of the public that has any information about the whereabouts of the baby's parents to contact her or the nearest police station.
In a similar development, an abandoned two-day old baby boy had been found in Ora-Igbomina in Ifedayo local government, Osun State. The Chief Social Welfare Officer in the State Ministry of Information and Women Affairs, Ikirun Zone has therefore appealed to any member of the public with information about the parents of the abandoned baby to contact her at old Ifelodun Local Government secretariat, Ikirun or call Engineer Towobola on 08035534837.
