What in this world could ever make a woman to be after the life of her husband and the father of her children? Well your guess is as good as mine. But that is the situation between Mary and Kola Lamina both of whom are based in Ireland.
What in this world could ever make a woman to be after the life of her husband and the father of her children? Well your guess is as good as mine. But that is the situation between Mary and Kola Lamina both of whom are based in Ireland.
According to Lamina, the man in the eye of the storm, his wife and the mother of his two sons want him dead. Speaking with Sunday Sun Ireland-based Nigerian said his life is in danger from the very hands of the woman he calls his wife. And if anybody seems to be in doubt he said there is enough evidence to back his claims.
'For sometime now my wife has continued to threaten my life without telling me what my crime is. We have been married for five years and we have two kids," he said.
And what could have triggered this action? Hear his response: 'My brother I don't know. We met in London in 2001 and got married two years later. Today we are blessed with two boys, so I don't understand why she is now threatening to kill me."
Speaking further Kola, 33, claimed that not less than three attempts have been made to kill him. According to him, the first attempt was in London about two years ago when armed robbers came to their apartment and beat him to a stupor, but spared his wife. He added that all the items that were stolen from the house were his and none of his wife's belongings were touched by the robbers. Even while he was in the hospital receiving treatment, he said his wife never bothered to pay him a visit.
' My story," he began, 'may sound ridiculous but it is the truth. On more than three occasions have this woman that calls herself my wife made attempts to kill me. In London we were attacked by robbers apart from the fact that none of her belongings was taken away by the robbers, she never visited me while I was in the hospital. Rather what she did was to relocate to Ireland with the children.
'When I was discharged from the hospital I traced her to Ireland but she never wanted to see me. She told the authorities over there that we were never married, so I was restrained from going to her house which on the other hand entitled her to collect some allowances on behalf of the children and for herself. I also made attempts to see my first son in his school not knowing that she had instructed his teacher not to allow me come any closer to the boy.
Her fear is that I am planning to take away the children that she has been using to defraud the authorities from her custody. But she is wrong because I have no such plans. I only wanted to see them and know how they are doing, particularly my first son who is suffering from autism. All I want is to see my sons and know how they are doing. In one of the text messages she sent to me she said that I have dugged up a skull and I must be dealt with."
Explaining further Kola said his wife attitude over the last few years baffled him because with the way things are it is quite glaring that there is no more love between them. 'My wife and her family are nothing but bloody liars. When we first met in London in 2001 she told me that she graduated from the University of Lagos, which I later found out to be lies. That is the same thing she had been telling her male lover which I intercept in her mailbox.
One of the text messages reads: ‘I am single never married . I have a partner but we are not together. I studied Psychology and Sociology. I learnt that you Germans are good lovers and caring too.' Can you imagine! She is claiming that she is not married and she is applying for visitor's visa with my name. I have evidence to prove this.
'I came back to Nigeria in February 2008 only to be told that my wife was in town. I was glad because I thought that was another opportunity for me to at least see my children. Arrangement was made between my family and hers to meet in their family house somewhere in Lagos. Could you believe that while I was outside the family house waiting, the anti robbery squad was alerted and I was accused of trying to break an entry.
'The police came and you know their way of doing things I was almost killed. This is a woman that I legally got married to and did all the necessary things required that is now a threat to my life. She is not only desperate but also heartless. I learnt she has been in town for sometime now and I was informed by some friends that they saw her in Okija, I hope she is not trying to use my first son for rituals. These are all my fears. And that is the more reason I want to see them. I don't want her back or the children back at least for now all I want is to see them and know that they are all right. And also play my role as a father."
