Foremost human rights leader and coordinator of Ijaw Monitoring Group, Comrade Joseph Evah has raised alarm and accused the Federal government of planning to poison MEND leader, Henry Okah, alias, Jomo Gbomo, deported from Angola about two weeks ago.
Evah sounded this warning in a chat with Sunday Sun, revealing that reliable inside sources disclosed that Jomo Gbomo might go the way of MKO Abiola who was poisoned during the Abacha regime.
He said that the Federal government should release Jomo Gbomo immediately because it had no tangible evidence against him for the treason charges against him.
Evah called on the United Nations to wade into the matter and send medical experts to have a thorough check up on Jomo Gbomo.
He employed the judiciary to eschew constraint on the Jomo Gbomo matter adding that Nigerians had passed a vote of confidence on the judiciary on landmark tribunal decisions by overturning last election results by those who came through the back door.
