Unknown gunmen have kidnapped two toddlers and an oil company staff in two separate incidents in Port Harcourt.
A top security source who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt on Tuesday gave the names of the toddlers as Chimaraoke Okocha aged two and Kelechi Okocha a year and half. The source said the toddlers were seized at a day care centre at the University of Port Harcourt.
The source said that they were taken at about 7.45 a.m.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that the father of the toddlers is a Port Harcourt based businessman.
It also confirmed that a woman whose husband works with Elf Oil company was abducted on her way from church at 8.30 p.m. on Monday in Port Harcourt by unknown gunmen.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mrs Ireju Barasua confirmed the abduction of the woman but said that she was yet to get information on the missing toddlers.
No group had claimed responsibility for the abductions and no ransom had also been demanded by the captives.
