Airport touts popularly known as 'Abuja boys" have taken their antics to a new level and this time, they beat their victims black and blue in broad daylight, even after milking them of their wealth.

The latest victim, Mr. Tariye Adokie, a staff of Newclime Engineering was beaten to an inch of his life.
Narrating his ordeal, Adokie said the touts swooped on him like swarm of locusts as he was trying to make necessary enquiries at the AeroContractors' office.
'One of them came to me, trying to trick me to buy a fake ticket, I refused when I knew what he was up to. Along the line, an argument ensued and before I could say jack, the attention of the rest of the gang was drawn and they pounced on me."
Further narrating the pain the touts inflict on unsuspecting victims to Daily Sun, the media consultant of Aerocontractors, Mr. Deba Uwadiae said: 'On Thursday, a staff of Aero, Mr. Anyansi Dike was also beaten up for directing a passenger to the right terminal. Mr. Dike slumped after the beating and was revived at the hospital where he spent three days with a broken head."
The Tuesday before Mr. Dike's ordeal, a female staff of Bellview airlines was beaten and stripped by the Abuja boys at the terminal 2 building. The case has been reported to Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON).
According to Uwadiae, the Abuja boys use the back of the abandoned Concord office, beside Aero as their hide out. 'That is where they share money of passengers who fall victim to their plot."
He noted that the attention of the Managing Director, Engr Mohammed Gambo Umar has been drawn to the menace of the Abuja boys in the airport and he has promised to find lasting solutions to the ugly situation.
