Five persons were arrested in Obadore area of Lagos State, at the weekend for being in possession of two human (female) heads.
They were arrested at the Obadore end of the bridge by policemen attached to the Igando police station.
The policemen, who were on 'stop-and-search" duty were said to have stopped the metallic Mazda 323 saloon car marked EU 125 EKY, with five occupants for a routine check and to their shock, two female decomposing heads were found inside it.
The human heads, suspected to be for ritual purposes, were said to have been concealed in a black polythene bag.
Also found in the car were charms and a bottle containing liquid substance suspected to be one of the items required for the ritual.
Saturday Sun investigations revealed that the spot where the suspects were nabbed is dreaded as one of the black spots in Lagos, where ritualists patronize to procure human parts. The Saturday Sun gathered that when the contractors handling the dualization of the LASU/Isheri road were clearing the bush under the bridge, human parts, bags, shoes and other personal effects of suspected victims of ritual killing were discovered in large quantities.
Meanwhile, policemen at Igando police station had tough time controlling the crowd that had thronged the station immediately the news broke to catch a glimpse of the suspects.
Policemen at the station, however, refused to comment further on the incident, rather, the reporter was referred to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
The suspects were still detained at the Igando police station as at the time of filing this report, but might be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos, for further investigations.
