Akwa Ibom State National Assembly caucus has commended Governor Godswill Akpabio on the strategic developmental strides in the state, especially in the areas of road construction, human resource development, security, peace and unity.
Akwa Ibom State National Assembly caucus has commended Governor Godswill Akpabio on the strategic developmental strides in the state, especially in the areas of road construction, human resource development, security, peace and unity.
In a communiqué issued at the end of its meeting in Abuja last week and signed by Senator Effiong Bob and 12 others, the National Assembly caucus also commended the leadership of the Akwa Ibom State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the successful and peaceful conduct of the recent councillorship and chairmanship primaries in the state.
It, however, condemned what it called the politically motivated and false report in some section of the media, which alleged that several persons were killed during the primaries. The caucus noted with satisfaction that there were no deaths during and after the primaries.
On the forthcoming PDP national convention, the caucus endorsed the out-going state chairman of the PDP, Architect Otu Ita Toyo as sole nominee for the office of the national vice chairman/zonal chairman (South-South).
Again, the caucus endorsed Hon. Uwem Ita Etuk of Uyo Senatorial district for the position of the state chairman of PDP.
