Kogi State acting governor Hon. Clarence Olafemi is already blowing hot in response to comments by the opposition about the retention of the cabinet members the dislodged governor appointed.

Kogi State acting governor Hon. Clarence Olafemi is already blowing hot in response to comments by the opposition about the retention of the cabinet members the dislodged governor appointed.

Hon. Olufemi told the opposition parties, especially the AC" 'I have no regrets whatsoever for making the statement because that is my policy direction. 'There is policy direction and there is policy implementation. I have decided to implement this policy direction, and by this I have not broken any law of the land to say I am retaining them.

Fuming further, he noted that: 'I am not afraid of their threat to drag me to court over the issue. Let them go to court, afterall the courts are created for human beings and not animals. If I like I can even dissolve the cabinet and appoint the people again. They should shut up their mouths because they don't know any thing about administration".
He warned political stalwarts who he said are in the habit of sponsoring political violence in the state that his administration would deal decisively with them.

The acting governor gave the warning while addressing newsmen in his office, on the heels of reports that there was political violence in Ayingba and Okene which led to the death of some innocent people.
Following the outcome of the appeal tribunal verdict which on last Wednesday upheld the removal of Alh. Ibrahim Idris as governor of Kogi state.

The governor also lambasted some section of the press which reported that the former governor defied the court judgment by refusing to hand over to him saying the reports was malicious and misleading. He noted that Alh. Idris has handed over all the paraphernalia of office to him.
'Let the mischief makers allow us to live in peace. My administration is a child of circumstance so it should not be their whether I sleep in the governor's lodge or not, I can decide to sleep anywhere within the government house'.
