Daredevil armed robbers yesterday struck at the Living Faith Church, (Winners Chapel) along Sango-Idiroko road, killing four policemen, and leaving two seriously injured.

During the raid, three commercial banks including first and second generation banks were looted of money running into several millions of Naira.

The heavily armed robbers numbering about 27 were said to have arrived the church premises at about 9.55a.m, and thereafter took strategic positions in the compound that also houses the Faith Academy, a secondary school, a primary school and the Covenant University.

The two policemen are now on danger list at the General Hospital, Sango Ota. The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mr. Olufemi Awoyale denied knowledge of the death of any policeman, but confirmed that two were seriously injured.
The incident caused panic both within and around the church as people scampered for safety.

'On their arrival there was an exchange of fire and in the process two of our men, a constable and a corporal were shot and they are on the danger list."

He disclosed that one of the buses used by the robbers for the operation has been recovered.
