Management of National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, near Jos is putting in place security measures to ensure the safety of the former boss of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu who will be reporting as a participant by the end of January.

According to information gathered by Saturday Sun, a top management meeting was held on Thursday to discuss his safety while at the institute for the course.

A top management staff said Ribadu cannot be treated as just like another participant because he must have stepped on toes while in office and the institute would want to ensure that nobody takes advantage of him being at NIPSS to have revenge.

'People say Ribadu is just another participant but we know he cannot be taken as such. He is a big responsibility on our hands and we must be very careful," he said
Malam Nuhu Ribadu's course at the institute had generated a lot of controversy since the Inspector General of police Mike Okiro made the announcement. The institute has since attracted a lot of attention.
