The Rumueme Youth President, Mr. King Tony Gboms says that since Rumueme Kingdom is a peaceful place, the community has never and will not harbour cultists.

Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt against the backdrop that a group known as Rumueme survival for peace and transparency (RSFPT), is in the community, the youth president said that since the existence of Rumueme kingdom, the community has never harbour cultists nor has such a group.

"If there is any group like that, I as the youth president of Rumueme should know and it should be under the umbrella of the youth body. So, any group who comes with such a name in this kingdom should be arrested immediately," he said.

The King and choice of the people as he is popularly known in the state called on the law enforcement agents to arrest any person or group of persons who cause havoc or carry any demonstration in Rumueme and its environs and make such to face the wrath of the law.

He stated that the aim of the said group was to cause confusion and insult Chiefs and elders of Rumueme and warned their sponsors to desist from such acts.

The youth leader urged the general public to disregard such and allegation and go about their normal businesses, stressing that any group of persons who wants to form any group should be made known to him, the elders and Chiefs council for approval.

Mr. Gboms reiterated that Ikwerre people have been in support of Odili's administration and would never distablize the efforts of the state government in any form.

He pleaded with cultists and their sponsors to turn a new leaf and help to build the state which the Rivers State Governor Dr. Peter Odili has laid a solid foundation and to become good ambassadors of our country.

The youth boss opined that no amount of intimidation, character assassination would stop him from carrying his people along because according to him, God has given him wisdom to help and assist those in need and to give advice to people so that people would utilize their best opportunities and become useful to the society at large.

Mr. Gboms pledged his unalloyed support to the Odili-led administration, promising that the people of Rumueme would continue to be peaceful and law-abiding as he pilots the affairs of the state, stressing that nothing would hinder his peace initiative.
