The African Business Roundtable (the gigantic umbrella body of private sector business on the continent) in its drive to attract credible investors and businessman to Africa, has caught one 'big fish" and brought it home. Apex Petroleum Corporate, listed as one of the fastest growing companies in America, has expanded its operation to Nigeria, courtesy ABR.

President of ABR, Dr. Bamanga M. Tukur, disclosed on his arrival from a world tour which took him to Germany, Portugal, Tanzania and South Africa, that Apex would commence business in Nigeria this year.

He is the Chairman of the Nigerian subsidiary, Apex Petroleum and Allied Energy, which has already been incorporated in Nigeria.
Tukur said his ABR was succeeding in fishing out Africans who have helped in contributing to the development of advanced countries and asking them to return home to build their own countries.
He was delighted that at last he trapped back home to Nigeria Apex Petroleum, which is listed among the top 5,000 companies in the United States of America.

Tukur went on: 'We are not relenting on the drive to bring our children in diaspora to Africa to help in building the continent. We discussed this in our recent Africa Union meeting in Tanzania. NEPAD is working. We are tying all the loose ends to ensure a tighter crusade."

The President of Apex Petroleum, Mr. Anthony Onianwah, who is visiting Nigeria this month, said his company has retail outlets all over the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia, Washington D.C.
Out of the 138 listed companies in Maryland, Apex is the only energy company and placed 71 with a growth rate of 63.5 per cent out of the 100 top American companies.

Apex Petroleum and Allied Energy has opened an office at its Nigerian headquarters at Maitama, Abuja.
Nigerian born Onianwah said his company provides fuel and customs fuel management solutions. The company was built to its present enviable status without seeking venture capital funding.
It has developed a formidable and experienced team of executives versed in all areas of petroleum and retail distribution.

Added Onianwah: 'We have been named 21st among the fastest growing companies in the Washington DC area in the Washington Business Journal's last 50 programme, based on a five-year period of consistent growth."

'We have our corporate head office in Largo, Maryland. We deliver motor fuel and petroleum equipment to commercial customers and Apex gas stations throughout Washington D.C. Virginia and North Carolina."

Onianwah disclosed that the company was planning to expand to north-eastern states of America like Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and throughout that country.
Apex Petroleum does field operation servicing for oil explorers and has the technical expertise in men and materials for their needs.
