Ojajuni, Lagos police spokesman now DPO


After serving six commissioners of police in a three-year stint that brought him local and international awards, as the Lagos State Police spokesman, Superintendent of Police (SP), Olubode Ojajuni has been posted to face new challenges.

After serving six commissioners of police in a three-year stint that brought him local and international awards, as the Lagos State Police spokesman, Superintendent of Police (SP), Olubode Ojajuni has been posted to face new challenges.

The officer, who joined the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP in 1996 will now serve as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Bode Thomas, in the Surulere area of Lagos.
The movement was confirmed on Tuesday in a press statement signed by the officer, who has taken over from him as Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Frank Mba.

Mba, who is also a lawyer, was Ojajuni's deputy until the new posting. He had served the Force in various capacities and he was a one-time PPRO at the Airport Police Command.
Ojajuni, on his part has set a record as a Police spokesman, by serving six commissioners, namely Messrs Israel Ajao, Ade Ajakaiye, Emmanuel Adebayo, Udom Ekpoudom, Bashiru Lawal and Mohammed Abubakar.
He also set another record recently, when he received an award for outstanding performance in Ghana.
