The Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs yesterday refused to extend the usual courtesy enjoined by former lawmakers as it took on one of its own, Senator Polycap Nwite to task for daring to petition the office of the Senate president for the refusal of the committee to screen him over an alleged ‘security' report .

By tradition, once a former federal lawmaker appears before the Senate for screening, all he/she does is to bow and go. But for Nwite, it was a different ball game as he was bombarded with questions from all directions.
Meanwhile, former military administrator of Lagos Muhammed Buba Marwa, who was screened yesterday said that Nigeria has a chance of clinching the Security Concil seat at the United Nations.
