A lady, who wanted to make quick money through cocaine trafficking has been arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The suspect, 28-year-old Omakaro Joy ingested 60 wraps of cocaine and inserted eight wraps into her private part for onward export to Spain.
According to the Commander of the NDLEA MMIA, Victor Cole-Showers, the lady confessed to have been given the 'cargo" by one John Benin in Benin, the Edo State capital.
The Edo State-born courier said her parents were unaware of her plans to get into the deadly business.
The NDLEA commander further stated that Joy was arrested on Tuesday night while trying to board Iberia Airlines.
He said the lady will be kept under close observation until she excretes all the cocaine swallowed before facing legal actions.
In a related development, the command also picked up three other suspects.
One of them, Emmanuel Okoye was arrested on Wednesday afternoon on the verge of boarding Ethiopian Airlines to India after concealing 542 grams of cocaine in his slippers.
The commander, while stressing that his team will not rest on its oars until the drug war is won, warned all real and potential culprits of drug trafficking to desist from the bad act or face unpalatable consequences.
