Unperturbed with repeated warnings and arrests, another cocaine smuggler, one Agbo Charles was on Tuesday nabbed by narcotic agents attached to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, when he was trying to smuggle a yet-to-be ascertained quantity of cocaine to Barcelona, Spain via KLM.
Unperturbed with repeated warnings and arrests, another cocaine smuggler, one Agbo Charles was on Tuesday nabbed by narcotic agents attached to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, when he was trying to smuggle a yet-to-be ascertained quantity of cocaine to Barcelona, Spain via KLM.
According to a source from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the 34-year -old man said one Ikechukwu, gave the hard drug to him at a hotel in Ikeja.
The source, however, revealed that the command is on the trail of the agent with a view to apprehending and subsequently bringing him to justice.
He said the suspect had commenced the excretion of the cocaine and had so far excreted 43 wraps.
He further revealed that the man would be excreting more of the drug judging from X-ray report.
All drug couriers, who injest the cocaine are usually kept under close monitoring because having any of the wraps burst in the victim's stomach may result in instant death. Last week, the command made a total of seven drug-related arrests.
One of the suspects, 38-year -old Onwusi Innocent Okenna was arrested last Tuesday night while attempting to export 107 wraps of cocaine he injested, to Germany.
He was kept under close monitoring until all the 107 wraps of cocaine were excreted. The command also caught one Godwin Utobor on Thursday, 35, last Thursday night. He injested cocaine he planned smuggling to Spain via Iberia Airlines.
