The police in Lagos have held a man at the Badagry area of the state for cutting off the head of his father.The reason Segun Ajasa beheaded his biological father is still shrouded in mystery but different versions for the dastardly action have been profiled by the police and eyewitnesses.
The police in Lagos have held a man at the Badagry area of the state for cutting off the head of his father.The reason Segun Ajasa beheaded his biological father is still shrouded in mystery but different versions for the dastardly action have been profiled by the police and eyewitnesses.
According to a woman who claimed to have been at the Bale Ilado village where the incident occured, Ajasa had cut off the head of his father because he allegedly received information that the old man wanted to kill him for ritual and had thus decided to strike first.
She added that on that fateful Monday morning, the old man was sitting outside when Ajasa crept behind and with a single stroke of his machete, beheaded his father.
The police version however, while not too different from the eyewitness account, added a new shade. The father was said to have taken Ajasa to a shrine, where he compelled him to kneel down.
The old man was said to have performed some rites on Ajasa. Ajasa told the police that he became suspicious of his father's motive when the true purpose of the rite at the shrine was not explained to him.
After much rumination, Ajasa decided his father wanted to use him for money ritual.
