Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has won a recall to the Nigeria team for next week's friendly against Macedonia.
The 20-year-old was suspended by the NFA when he withdrew from a Nations Cup qualifier against Uganda in June. But Mikel has since apologised to the NFA and coach Berti Vogts. He will also have the opportunity to formerly apologise to his team-mates in the Macedonian capital as demanded by Vogts.
NFA spokesman Ademola Olajire said: "It is indeed an opportunity for Mikel to tender his apology to the entire players; I believe this would foster good spirit and understanding."
