A woman in Lagos was crushed to death on Monday by a train as she was returning from a church service early in the morning.

A woman in Lagos was crushed to death on Monday by a train as she was returning from a church service early in the morning.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman, identified as Deborah Bukky Samson, through her Bible found on the railway line, was crossing when she tripped over and couldn't get up until the train sliced her body in two.
Daily Sun visited the victim's home on Coker Street, Agege, where the grieving husband spoke about his late wife, describing the accident as an act of God.
He said the wife had been down with stroke for about four years and had left the house for church on Monday at about 6.30a.m when the accident happened.
'She had been down with stroke for years. That explains why she could not lift herself up when she fell down," Mr Samson said. 'I do not lay blames on anyone, but I am consoled that she died as a believer."
The victim's only son, Abiodun, a Yoruba actor, popularly known as ‘Artilar' told Daily Sun that he was looking forward to better days with his mum when he received the shocking news of her death. He also confirmed that his mother had been down with stroke for years, adding, 'She had recovered except that she was still limping. We were all happy that she would recover fully and go back to her business. Days before the incident, I had gone to barb her hair and she prayed for me and I was hoping to return the next week with the things she asked me to buy for her."
On why she was allowed to move alone, Abiodun said that is mother could walk without support although she had partial stroke. ' She was left with my junior sister who said that she excused herself to meet a man of God at a church in Agege."
Those who were mourning the victim in her compound described her as a peace loving woman.
