Behind the sleek appearance which has continued to hold lovers of Nollywood movies spellbound, multi-talented actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, popularly known as Omo Sexy has a girlish spirit which has made her remain relevant in showbusiness.

"I am an adventurous person, who loves to try everything possible. I am strong and very detailed. I can't work with lazy people because I get irritated easily," she recently declared.

Her love for heavy engine is an open secret among industry watchers. The mother of four recently took delivery of a Lincoln Navigator Jeep as a present from her hubby. Her words: "I'm the kind of woman, who loves to drive herself every time and as you can see, I love driving heavy American jeeps. I think I'm also cool."

Another attribute that has not gone unnoticed about the fair-complexion actress is her exquisite taste for fashion. "I wear what suits me and I do most of my shopping abroad. I can buy clothes at any amount. I remember one time I walked into a shop in America and bought a lovely gown for a thousand dollars."

Although people may disagree with her high taste and spending habits, the Nollywood star believes flaunting one's fashion is a basic ingredient to remain relevant in showbusiness. "Whatever I wear, be it Channel, Elizabeth, Arden or Gucci, I love to stand-out with it….as a star you have to be glamorous. Aside clothes, I'm crazy about perfumes."

If her taste is considered exquisite, the popular actress said she met a perfect match in her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde. Their star-studded wedding which took place aboard an aircraft still remains a point of reference among celebrities and fans alike. The actress would always boast that her popular sobriquet Omo Sexy was an attribute given to her by her husband.
Untamed by the supposed one year ban on her alongside other A-list artistes, Omo Sexy invested her restive energy on music, debuting with an album entitled: Gba. But that is not everything about her adventurous spirit as she was recently made a United Nations African Peace Ambassador whose assignment has taken her to war-torn countries in Africa, preaching the gospel of peace in schools and communities. She has also been involved in a youth empowerment initiative which holds regular trainings, featuring influential personalities.

But how does her family put up with her numerous engagements? She explains: "Honestly, the edge I have over others is that I am married to the most wonderful man in the world. He understands the nature of my job; he is so supportive… The same thing can be said of my kids as they can handle things on their own. I try to create time for my family. I cook for my husband whenever I am at home and we don't joke with our vacation abroad, as that keep us together when I'm not working."

While pundits argue that she may not have had it good in music as in acting, her debut effort, which she produced with the support of multi-talented artistes, Paul Play and OJB Jezreel, has further opened a new vista in her show business career. She now has her hand full, combining music and acting, although she agrees that everything is still about entertainment.
"Nothing can be more fulfilling than being in the world of entertainment. I love to sing and act," she says.

The screen diva, who got her big break over a decade ago in a movie entitled: Mortal Inheritance may have been absent from movie locations but her fans have no cause for alarm as she is bouncing back. She hints: "Although I am working on another album, the thing is that I spend more time on movie locations than in the studio."

Unknown to her numerous fans, Omo T's daughters may have caught the show business bug from their mother as they have since joined her dance group. "They seem to be following my footsteps," she says, but adds, "for now, their education comes first. As for Michael and Matthew Jnr, I can't say for now, but one thing is sure, they love to see their mum on the stage and screen."
Given her enormous energy and flamboyant lifestyle, Omotola says she would not like to change anything about herself."
