NIGERIA has maintained her top spot in the continent based on the latest Federation of International Football Association's (FIFA) World rankings released yesterday for the month of March.

NIGERIA has maintained her top spot in the continent based on the latest Federation of International Football Association's (FIFA) World rankings released yesterday for the month of March.
Though, Nigeria dropped two steps from the last ranking released in February, where she finished listed on the twenty-one position, Nigeria still placed first ahead of Cameroon, Egypt, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia and South Africa in that order.
A cursory look at the current ratings shows that Nigeria finished on the twenty-third position in the world, Cameroon placed twenty-fifth for second, while Egypt who moved a step up was placed on the thirty-one position to come third. Senegal dropped to the 32nd position while Morocco-34th, Tunisia 38th and South Africa finished 40th positions respectively.
Brazil also maintained her global first place in the world with 836 points and followed by France with 782 points, thereby beating Argentina that garnered 777 points to the third position.
Other countries in the top ten include; Czech Republic, Spain, Mexico, Netherlands, England, Portugal and Italy
