The trouble with Duro Onabule

The trouble with Chief Duro Onabule are legion. Which explains, in part, why he unleashed on June 29 2007 an unprovoked (and unfounded) aggression on the person and ministry of Pastor E. A. Adeboye; the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God.

.For the records Pastor E. A. Adeboye is the Moses of our time. And one of the world distinguished Charismatic Apostolic leader. This is unarguable.
Holiness and credibility are twin key elements in his ministry and to his personal standing. The international community know him as one whose word cannot fall to the ground. He is a Pastor of Pastors.

But Chief Duro Onabule believe otherwise. 'On a very serious note" he said 'Enoch Jare Adeboye is not as innocent as he appears". 'Today the point of interest is what seems to be Adeboye's quilty conscience (if he has any) in proceeding from his self-glorification far away in Texas, United States among his faithful to sacrifice, in the process, his supposed friend, Olusegun Obasanjo on the third term controversy. Some very unkind cut".

For the records also Chief Duro Onabule was the Chief Press Secretary to Nigeria Military President General Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida. Shall we not recollect that Chief Onabule lost his political relevance and bearing at the fall of his mentor (IBB) when the latter stepped aside from power in Aso Rock.
Dare we not also say that Onabule's frustrations at the inability of his mentor (IBB) to rise again (politically) have compounded his woes when Chief Olusegun Obasanjo dealt a mortal blow to IBB's comeback bid to power in the run off to last presidential polls.

His window of great opportunity was again shut. Thwarted expectations has had to be given expression in some other ways. Perceived enemies must be dealt with who may have prayerfully sustained Olusegun Obasanjo in government whether such persons were on the side of the 3rd term project or not. A distinction must not be made.

Which is, perhaps, why Pastor Adeboye's remark in Texas USA provided a golden opportunity for Onabule to make a direct hit at the world renowned cleric.
'Even if Obasanjo avoided him on the third term issue, should he have publicly denied a supposed closed friend 'queried Chief Onabule" What would Onabule say about PDP Chairman Ahmadu Ali who recently condemned some of the economic reform policies of Ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo.
'Ali was widerly regarded as Obasanjo's ardent loyalist and foot soldier when the former president was in office" Chief Onabule should take heed and apologise for attacking the anointed of God.

'When third term issue nearly tore Nigeria into pieces the religions leaders who disapproved so spoke publicly and today have their voices recorded in history. Again, among them were the Anthony Okogies, the Gbonigis, the Onaijekans, the Gabriel Osus, Chris Okoties etc.
'Certainly Enoch Jare Adeboye was NEVER repeat among them."
Chief Onabule should be told that Pastor Adeboye is not in the mould of these category of men of God.
There are Pastors and there are Pastors. The third term tenure extension project of ex-president Obasanjo did not destroy Nigeria because Pastor E. A. Adeboye and his faithful members played a crucial role.

Shortly before the third term tenure extension crisis erupted Pastor Adeboye called his faithful members for a round the clock, round the day, round week, round the year chain reference prayers that did not allow forces of darkness to break up Nigeria.
