Go again

Men aught not to fret or get unduly worried over their loses or failure in life. Whatever happens to man is allowed by God so that others coming behind might learn from it.

Men aught not to fret or get unduly worried over their loses or failure in life. Whatever happens to man is allowed by God so that others coming behind might learn from it.

The bible is God's revelation to man about life. It is the bread of life with which to sustain a strong spiritual and fruitful life. It contains the solution for every problem man has, or will ever have in any generation.
In this generation our problem basically is political; the seeming inability to sustain a democratic political culture.
In Nigeria, men can do and are willing to do anything to attain their political goal. It is unfortunate.
Many may have read about that Great American President: Abraham Lincoln. He was one of America great President.
To many people he is best remembered as the man who fought and won the American civil war. He is also remembered for his famous quotations and dogged perseverance.

Mr. Lincoln proved the exactness of the word of God that in deed "a just man falleth seven times and riseth again": Prov. 24:16.
At age 25 Abraham Lincoln ran for the state legislature and was elected.
At age 29 he was defeated for the post of speaker (1st defeat).
At age 31 he was defeated for elector (2nd failure).
At age 34 he was defeated for congress (3rd failure).
At age 39 he was defeated again for congress (4th failure).
At age 46 he was defeated yet again for congress (5th failure)
At age 47 he was defeated for the post of vice president (6th failure).
At age 49 he was again defeated for the senate (7th failure). He did not give up. Mr. Lincoln scored other strings of defeats but was not distracted from his political goal.

He was not one to cry over spirit milk. Not Mr. Lincoln. Two years later at the age of 51, Abraham Lincoln contested and won the election after seven attempts and became the President of the United states of America.
Who says you can not make your life ambition? Go Again and try. The man who does not try can not succeed. A man's greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time he falls.

Falling down does not make one a failure but staying down does. Are you a failure? Are you presently down on your business? Are you down to your last kobo? Are you at the brisk of bankruptcy? Are you jobless? Have you been disappointed by may suitors? Your husband is on his way to you.
Or are you a student who has failed his JAMB examination several times? Are you finding it difficult passing your WASC examination? Have you lost an election and are wondering what next to do? Go Again and Try, perhaps in the year 2007 you mighty make it.
"The just shall live by faith." Rom. 1:17 Jacob when caught up in very difficult circumstances told his sons in (Gen 43:1) to Go Again to the Land of Egypt, when famine was sore in the land, to buy corn that we may live and not die.
"Take your brother, and arise go again unto the man: that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved". Gen 43:13.
Alas! Jacob together with his family were later re-united with his lost son Joseph in Egypt.
