Former Super Eagles' coach, Clemence Westerhof, has taken a swipe at Kwara United's runaway technical adviser, Roger Palmgren, accusing him of doing nothing with the team while he was around.
'I don't know what the Swedish (Palmgren) did for Kwara United, he did nothing for them. The man came here only to sell players, not to train the team," Westerhof blasted.
'Imaging Palmgren saying that people wanted to kill his assistant. What about me? What about all the years I spent here in Nigeria when I coached the Super Eagles? Nobody wanted to kill me. How long did I spend in this country? Four years! And nobody wanted to kill me, not even Paul Bassey, who was my number one enemy.
'Bassey wrote me down from the beginning and said to me: ‘Go! Oyibo Go! We don't want you! But he never killed me," the Dutch tactician said.
Westerhof, who is the principal coordinator to the Football College of Excellence in Ilorin, currently assists Kwara United on tactical strategies, and has expressed satisfaction at the progress of the team since Palmgren absconded from his duty post.
'The players now work hard. We have also worked on their conditions. When you handle a team, before the season begins, you must work on the player's conditions. And you have to do the same at the end of the season.
'Can you imagine how ridiculous it is that the players cannot move. But I have worked on them," the loquacious tactician said.
