To develop and administer a first class capital city and territory comparable to the best in the world.
MISSION
To develop Abuja city and the Capital Territory in compliance with the Master-plan taking into consideration all the reasons that necessitated the movement of the Federal Capital and establish an efficient result-oriented administration with constant focus on service delivery; a city that is a pride of Nigeria and Africa where all Africans and Africans in Diaspora will feel at home.
SCHEDULE OF DUTIES
Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is assigned the following functions and responsibilities:
Planning and Development of the FCT
Control of Development within the FCT
Arrangement for the provision of social services to the Territory
Administration of the FCT
Administering the allocation of urban and rural lands in the FCT
Parastatals/ Agencies:
Abuja Environmental Protection Board
Abuja Investment & Property Development Company
Abuja Metropolitan Management Agency
FCT Water Board
Satellite Town Development Authority
FCT Action Committee On AIDS
FCT Board Of Internal Revenue
FCT Area Council Staff Pension Board
