Lucky Igbinedion

Lucky Igbinedion, politician and former governor of Edo State, 54, May 13. Born in Benin City, Edo State, he was educated at Government Primary School, Benin-City, 1963-1969; Edo College, Benin-City, 1970-1972;   Crook Ham Court School, England, 1972-1974; The Mill School, England, 1974-1976; Stevenson College, Scotland,1976-1978; Jackson State University, USA, 1982-1984. Igbinedion was appointed chairman, Oredo local government area of Edo State, 1987-1989; elected governor of Edo State under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, between 1999 and 2003. He was also re-elected for second term in 2003.
