Yerima Parker Ahmed
Yerima Parker Ahmed, playwright, dramatist, cultural administrator, 54, May 8. Born in Lagos, he was educated at the Lagos Baptist Academy; University of Ife; University College, Cardiff; Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, University of London and the Open University, England. Ahmed is an adjunct senior lecturer at the Creative Arts Department, University of Lagos. He is recipient of the 2006 NLNG prize for Literature and author of more than 25 plays, including Hard Ground, Attahiru, The Trials of Oba Ovonranwem and Tafida.
