Nuhu Ribadu, former chairman, Economic Financial and Crimes Commission, EFCC, and presidential candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in 2011 general elections as member of international monitoring team set up by the United Nations, UN, under the Afghanistan Anti-Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Committee. While in Afganistan, the committee would review the social, political, economic and cultural conditions that contributed to corruption in the country. Afghanistan is the third most corrupt country in the world with a Corruption Perception Index, CP1, of 1.4 according to Transparency International, T I. Nigeria is ranked 134 with a CPI of 2.4 among the 178 countries ranked.
