Ernest Attah, retired soldier, 59, May 25. Born in Agila, Ador local government area of Benue State, he was educated at Nigeria Military School, NMS,  Zaria; Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, UK; Nigerian Army School of Infantry, Jaji; School of Infantry and Tactics, Quota, Pakistan; Amphibious Warefare School at US Marine Corps, USA; Command and Staff College, Jaji. Attah was commissioned into the Nigerian Army, 1972; he was instructor, Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA; military assistant to the late Sani Abacha, former head of state; military governor of Cross River State, 1990-1991.
