Omomiomwan Omoruyi
Omomiomwan Omoruyi, political scientist and administrator, 73, May 31. Born in Benin-City, Edo State, he was educated at the University of Ibadan, 1962-1965; State University of New York, USA, 1965-1970; National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Jos, 1979-1980. Omoruyi was lecturer, State University of New York, USA, 1968-1970; lecturer, University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, 1970-1975; senior lecturer, University of Benin, 1975. He was appointed director-general, Centre for Democratic Studies, CDS, Abuja, 1989-1993. Omoruyi is a member, International Political Science Association, IPSA.
