Olisa Agbakoba

Olisa Agbakoba, lawyer, former president of Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, and human rights activist, 58, May 29. Born in Jos, Plateau State, he was educated at Government Primary School, Jos, 1958-1962; Hillcrest School, Jos, 1963; Zixton Public School, Ozubulu, Anambra State, 1964; Christ the Kings College, Onitsha, 1966-1967; College of Immaculate Conception, Enugu, 1970-1972; Government College, Ugheli, 1972; University of Nigeria, Nsukka, 1973-1977; Nigeria Law School, Lagos, 1977-1978; London School of Economics and Political Science, 1979-1980. He was appointed research fellow, law and Intelligence Studies, Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, 1981-1982, and he is the principal partner of  Olisa Agbakoba and Associates. Agbakoba was appointed Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, in 1999.
