There are 3 days in God’s calendar. Day one begins with the ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ to heaven and the descent of the Holy Spirit. Day one is still running. It will expire the day our Lord Jesus Christ comes to earth a second time. Day two:This day begins when the Lord Jesus begins his 2nd reign on earth. It will last for 1000 years. This period is called the millennium years. Jesus Christ will reign with the saints for 1000 years here on earth. Day three:This is called the everlasting years. This begin at the end of the millennium year when God will take over for ever and ever. There is no need for the sun and the moon. The glory of God will provide light and you will reign with Christ for ever. Present age:The present age which is Day one in God’s calendar is the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. To live a successful Christian life in this age you need the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit the believer’s life is ordinary. You need the baptism of the Holy Spirit for a successful Christian exploit. Why do you need him: • You need the Holy Spirit because the present age belongs to him. Without the Holy Spirit your Christian walk with God is like a flat tyre. • You need the Holy Spirit in your life because even the Lord Jesus Christ depended on him for his earthly ministry. Born of Holy Spirit • The Lord Jesus Christ was himself conceived by the Holy Spirit Luke 1:35. Baptized of Holy Spirit • The Lord Jesus Christ was also baptized in the Holy Spirit. Infact he could not begin his earthly ministry until he was baptized of the Holy Spirit and the heaven was opened unto him. Math 4:23-25. Miracles by Holy Spirit • The Lord Jesus Christ performed all his miracles, preaching and teaching by the power of the Holy Spirit 'How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the power of the Holy Spirit who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil: for God was with him.' Acts 10:38. • The Lord Jesus Christ was led by the Holy Spirit to be tempted by the devil. 'And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Holy Spirit. Mtt. 4:1 Holy Spirit helped His death • The Lord Jesus died by the Holy Ghost. 'How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself with spot to God' Heb 9:14 without the Holy Ghost the Lord Jesus would have not been able to offer himself at the cross. Resurrection by Holy Spirit • The Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead by the Holy Ghost. 'The spirit of him that raise up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you' Rm. 8-11. The Lord Jesus Christ gave his disciples commandment by the Holy Ghost 'speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.' Acts 1:3bYou can see why the Holy Spirit is very important in the believer’s life. Everything about the Lord Jesus Christ was centered on the Holy Spirit. If the Lord Jesus Christ could not do without the Holy Spirit you too cannot do without the Holy Spirit, because the present age is run by the Holy Spirit of God.
