As the Americans and many other people of the world are celebrating the second anniversary of terrorist attack that strucked the world trade centre, what lessons have we learned...? Misfortune that befell New York City in the year 2001 has an adverse effect on the economy of the whole America and according to G.W. Bush, this is one of the reasons behind America's move to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. After the event of September 11, America invaded Afghanistan claiming that Bin Ladin was receiving the aid of Taliban regime in the country. But upon all their efforts in tracking down the man called Osama Bin Ladin were proved abortive. In this process, many civilians were killed while many are still paying adversely for the traumas they went through during the alleged war on terror in Afghanistan. Did America then achieve their aims in Afghanistan? Has there been civil rest and peace in the country after the invasion? Not only Afghanistan were in the list; Iraq also was pin-pointed to have been an inspirational source for Al-Qaeda and for this reason and many more still uncovered, it should be Iraq turn. At first, it was as matter of weapon of mass destruction, later brutal regime and finally 'liberation'. But since the end of physical war in Iraq, there has never been peace, harmony and allied forces in Iraq are confronting problems upon problems. Though many Iraqis were killed either by mistakes or mistarget and many like a boy called 'Ali' are still suffering extremely from the war. Also, many allied soldiers were killed either by friendly fires or enemies....But upon all, has there been peace...? Are we actually getting rid of terrorism...? Will there be peace with Americans/Westerners abroad...? Have we got to the end of the era of hatred and terrorism..? Okay, what lesson have we learned...?My prayers to the families of victims of world trade centre, Bali bombing, Mombassa bombing, Iraq war, Afghanistan war and many others... We know it's may not be your wish to die at that particular time but still we salute your courage to surrender your lives and you will all be remembered as the day goes.. May you all
