London, UK ( onlinenigeria ) January 17, 2011 - Mr Peter Eledan, Chairman Goodluck Jonathan Global Campaign Team with its headquarters in the United Kingdom credited Dr Dalhatu Tafida for his relentless effort in ensuring President Goodluck Jonathan won the PDP primaries. He said he recollected vividly that some individuals questioned his ability to successfully manage and run a campaign of this magnitude; and they even went as far as plotting his removal.According to Eledan, in spite of all these challenges, Dr Tafida stayed calm and kept his focus on the main assignment allowing his performance to speak for him. We say thank you to our campaign boss, who never gets any credit and has built the best political organisation in the country,”Mr Eledan said Senator Tafida never sought credit and has laboured in the background and also played a more visible role during PDP campaign primaries. He was able to build a political organisation that was able to take on and defeat Atiku, an odds-on favourite at the beginning of the race. While the Atiku camp seemed always at war with itself, the Goodluck\Sambo Organisation projected Peace, Fairness and Harmony. “(Dr Tafida) executed his winning strategy without the tragedy, leaks, or wrangling that typically cursed campaigns,” wrote GJGCT Chairman, Peter Eledan. He said at his age Dr Tafida with more than 38 years of experience in the public service. An indefatigable campaign strategist, working on campaigns has shown flashing moments when in the 1992 presidential primaries for the National Republican Convention (NRC) he defeated former military ruler General Yakubu Gowon in the Zaria ward under the Option A4 system. A year later, he was appointed Federal Minister of Health between 1993 and 1995. He served in the Senate for 8years and during his second term he was the Senate Majority Leader. After leaving the Senate, Tafida was appointed Nigeria High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. His experience helped guide the Jonathan/Sambo Campaign Organisation to a critical win in Abujaâ's PDP Presidential primaries this January. In analysing Dr Tafidaâ's strategy in the 2011 PDP Presidential primaries; Eledan said the power of organisation, the power of communication and teamwork played a significant role, noting that Senator Tafida clearly deserves respect. He has done a great job so far and he is not relenting, moving forward because he wants to win the general election in April 2011 for Dr Jonathan, his supporters and PDP. He thinks people are still in primary election mindset, but he is moving forward into general election mindset with a greater mindset to win again.”Dr Dalhatu Tafida is quietly planning the second phase of the campaign to assemble a multi talented and Professional Team for the general election, with the latest sign that he is already putting the PDP primaries nomination fight behind him and reaching out to all party members, supporters and Nigeria Citizens home and abroad to play their part in winning the general election for President Goodluck Jonathan.Closing RemarkMr Peter Eledan, MSc, MBA- Chairman, Goodluck Jonathan Global Campaign Team (GJGCT).Mr Adebayo Oladuntoye, MBA- Contributing Editor, (GJGCT).Mr Niran Abitogun, Author and senior writer for goodluckjonathanfor2011.comThe website, http://www.goodluckjonathanfor2011.com , provides news and updates on Goodluck Jonathanâ's campaign activities, information about his policies on Nigeriaâ's development, news on Nigerian Politics and lots more. ###
