Earthquake Revief Mission

January 12th 2010, a colossal magnitude 7.0earthquake hit the island of Haiti killing hundreds of thousands and displacingmillions. One month later the threat of a humanitarian crisis looms in itswake, as the majority of the population now live in temporary shelters andmakeshift tents, which would not be able to stand the coming rainy season.

In response to the disaster, the Emmanuel TV Haiti Earthquake Relief Team wassent to the island of Haiti. With the help of Emmanuel TV partners, a cargoplane was chartered to transport essential medical and food supplies to Haiti.The international team, including a doctor, nurses, a midwife, evangelists andhumanitarian workers landed safely in Cap Haitien Airport in the north of Haitiand travelled in convoy with the UN to Arcahaie, a town just north ofPort-au-Prince, where many earthquake victims had fled to. Upon arrival, the team were welcomed warmly and were given land by the sea bythe Mayor of Arcahaie in which to build a field hospital. With no hospital inthe town, and the local schools closed due to the earthquake, Clinique Emmanuelprovides vital medical care and assistance to the people of this earthquakestricken town.   Since the inception of Clinique Emmanuel, threebabies have been born, the first of whom was named Emmanuella by her parents ingratitude to God. In view of the coming rainy season, the team have set up 23 tents, to provideshelter for earthquake victims who have lost everything.
