Let’s pray for Nigeria…

Oh God of Creation,

Direct our noble cause,

Guide our leaders’ right,

Help our youth the truth to know,

In love and honesty to grow

And living just and true,

Great lofty height attain,

To build a nation where peace, and

Justice reign.

This is one of our civic duties-to pray for Nigeria every day. Let's sing this uniqe prayer everyday, and as you sing it think about the words indeptly. If you do this, you are praying for yourself  as well.

A nation that forget his creator cannot progress. Let's turn back to our creator. We have tried all other means, it has faild us. Let's remember what we have lost.

The second stanza of our National Anthem is a complete prayer for Nigeria but we've nearly forgetit in Nigeria. It is no longer sing in government functions, it is no longer sing in schools, some of our children don't even know that Nigeria Anthem have second stanza, the grown-up can no longer sing it correctly and ifi may ask you can you?

A research conducted by Aderibigbe Adesoji (in August 2008) shows that 87% of the respondents of Nigerians (in and abroad) cannot sing the second stanza of Nigeria Anthem correctly and about 92% did not know Nigeria Motto (Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress). It shows the level at which we havelost our Identity in Nigeria.

Let's us be identify with our Nation. Be a patriot.

Think about it.
