THE BAD EGGS OF THE NFA

Kudos to the formerly-elected members and chairmen of our sports federations in particular. Chief Chuka Momah, who was returned to the NTI Chairman unanimously. This shows the worth of this hard-working tennis boss of the entire continent. He moved the cross several new frontiers during his reign in a manner “which nobody can deny”

Chuka Momah’s re-election on the qualities of the members of the NTI. They have shown themselves to be true sportsmen whose first concern is the advancement of the gentlemen of the Cricket  Federation who for the second term running demonstrated a high degree of respectability.

The reverse is the case in the Nigerian Football Association (NFA)’s Ibrahim Galadima whose case could be compared to the proverbial fox who fails to acknowledge the fact that a leader should be a servant and not see himself as a ruler, Galadima; who is full of pride, vendetta, irrevocable elements of failure and nonchalant attitude to work, he had a tough act to follow at his fist term reign; most of the football players grew wings to the then Chief Coach  Christian Chukwu, to the extent that making one’s way into the Super Eagles squad as a young footballer was based on sentiment and financial capability, the NFA Chairman(Ibrahim Galadima) who is not even worthy to lead a ‘secondary school football team official was dubiously voted in the second time.

Despite the acts he had to follow, he was only contending with the duos of Fanni Amu, Olusegun Odegbami and other relevant sports men who took courageous steps the revive the falling NFA instead of co-operating with them to raise the flag high.

Inspite of the above stated facts, Sports Icon like Olusegun Odegbami , Fanni Amu , and the likes of Chief Oladipo were not allowed to reach the post of the NFA chairman, despite their status and achievements for their noble country that was overlooked by the looters and not good enough officials of the NFA, The cart was laid before the horse, and this has brought chaos and indiscipline coupled with disgrace and bad record to Nigeria in the International Football scene.

This Scenario was getting more frustrating by the day; that the patience of The Football governing body; Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) was over-stretched that it sounded a warning to Nigeria Football officials, which could lead to the death International Football in Nigeria.

With utmost assurance , if the Board of NFA officials is reshuffled and the bad eggs amongst them like Ibrahim Galadima and his contemporaries are removed, Nigerian Football will be revitalized and other African countries will learn from us.
